The most recent event was held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital (113 LBS collected) and Trinity Hospital Twin City (15 LBS collected).
The most recent event takes the total weight collected to 816 pounds. Total weights from each drug drop box throughout the county from January 1, 2022, to present:

Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office: 358 lbs.

Sugarcreek Police Department: 23 lbs.

Strasburg Police Department: 44 lbs.

Newcomerstown Police Department: 28 lbs.

Dennison Police Department: 26 lbs.

New Phila Police Department: 209 lbs.

“It is critical that we get these unused and unwanted prescription medications out of circulation,” explained Jodi Salvo, Empower Tusc Coalition Coordinator. “Statistics show us that all too often our youth are first exposed to substance use and misuse when they stumble upon or even steel medications from family and friends.”
The next Drug Takeback Day will be ____.
